Two feet, or the whole run

Most duct cleaning is a vacuum hose pushed through a vent cover. It reaches about two feet. We run a negative air system with an air whip, and it reaches the other end.

What you usually get

Vacuum at the vent cover

VentReaches about 2 ftPlenum

Reaches the first couple of feet of a run and stops. The debris that matters is packed into the bends and the far end, where airflow slows down and dust drops out.

What we do

Negative air and an air whip

VentReaches the plenumPlenum

Reaches the entire run, around every elbow, to where it meets the plenum. Nothing gets pushed deeper because the whole system is under suction the whole time.

01

The system goes under suction

A negative air machine connects to the trunk line and puts the whole duct system under negative pressure. Everything we knock loose travels out to a sealed collection unit rather than settling further down the run.

02

The whip goes down the full run

The air whip feeds down each individual run on a flexible line. Compressed air makes it lash against the duct wall along the entire length, around every elbow, all the way to the plenum.

03

You see the result from inside

We photograph the inside of the run before and after with a borescope, from deep in the duct rather than just inside the vent. Those photos are the only honest way to judge whether the work was done.

The part most companies skip

Reaching the whole run is the equipment. The rest is how the job is run, and it is where most of the money in this trade quietly goes missing.

You see it before and after

Photographs from inside your own ducts, taken in your home on the day. It is the only honest way to judge whether the work was worth the money.

The price is the price

$800 per AC unit, published openly rather than quoted on the doorstep. You get the number after the free inspection. Nothing gets added once we are in the house.

One job at a time

We do not stack three houses into an afternoon, which is why the last one of the day gets the same hours as the first.

And if your system does not need cleaning yet, we will tell you that instead. It has worked out fine as a business model for twelve years.

Do not take our word for it

  • We had some issues with the previous owner painting over the vents leaving them sealed around the edges. Robbin made sure everything was removed and done well. Could not have asked for a more professional job.

  • They were punctual, assessed my situation and provided honest feedback of the work needed which differed from a big name competitor that saved me hundreds of dollars.

    Krystal W., Thumbtack, Mar 21, 2019

  • I recently bought a condo built in the 70s and it wasn't until move in we realized how bad the place smelled. Just old and stuffy. So I looked for a professional to clean the air vents. Robbin was literally a breath of fresh air.

Twelve years, two people

After five years working in Afghanistan, Robbin came home and started cleaning ducts. He signed up with Thumbtack in 2013 and earned over a hundred five star ratings doing one job at a time.

Customers kept asking whether he could handle other things while he was already in the house. Over twelve years that turned into duct replacement, appliance repair, remodels and fencing. If we do not do it, we can refer someone who does. And if you do not need it, we will tell you.

What it costs

Published, not quoted on your doorstep. This is the whole list, and the inspection that produces your number costs nothing.

  • Air duct cleaning

Every supply run, every return, the plenum and the blower compartment. About two hours for one unit, depending on how many ducts it feeds.

    $800per unit

  • Antimicrobial fogging

Optional. We recommend it where there is something to treat, and we say so when there is not.

    +$50per unit

  • Dryer vent cleaning

The full run from the appliance to the exterior termination, with airflow confirmed at the vent rather than assumed.

    $179+ tax, on its own

  • Dryer vent added to a duct cleaning

The cheapest way to have it done, because we are already in the house with the equipment out.

    +$100+ tax

  • UV light installation

Installed at the evaporator coil, where it does the most good. Priced once we have seen the system.

Common questions

How much does air duct cleaning cost in Anna, TX?
Air duct cleaning is $800 per AC unit, covering every supply run, every return, the plenum and the blower compartment. Most homes have one unit; a second or third system is priced the same way, per unit. Dryer vent cleaning is $179 plus tax on its own or $100 plus tax added to a duct cleaning, and antimicrobial fogging is an optional $50 per unit. The inspection is free within 40 miles of Anna and the full number is given before any work starts.
How often should air ducts be cleaned?
Every three to five years for most North Texas homes. Sooner after a renovation, after buying a house whose history you do not know, with several pets in the home, or if someone has allergies or asthma.
What equipment does Aero Duct Cleaning use?
A negative air system paired with an air whip. The negative air machine puts the duct system under suction so debris travels out to a sealed collection unit instead of deeper into the run. The air whip feeds down each run on a flexible line and lashes the duct wall along the full length, around every elbow, to the plenum. A vacuum pushed through a vent cover reaches roughly the first two feet of a run, which is why a house can be cleaned and still blow dust two weeks later.
How long does air duct cleaning take?
About two hours for a single AC unit, depending on how many ducts that unit feeds. Homes with two or three systems take proportionally longer. Only one job is booked per slot, so the work is not rushed to reach the next house.
Who owns Aero Duct Cleaning?
Robbin, who started the business in 2013 after five years working in Afghanistan. It is still a two person operation, so the person who quotes the job is the person who does it.
What areas does Aero Duct Cleaning serve?
Collin and Grayson County and north Dallas, including Anna, Melissa, Van Alstyne, Howe, Sherman, Prosper, Allen and Plano. Inspection is free anywhere within 40 miles of Anna, and there is no trip charge anywhere in that area.
